.CAF is an audio format Apple uses in it’s iPhone infrastructure for UISounds (Lock, Unlock, Voicemail, New Mail, etc).

You can convert .MP3, .WAV, .AAC, .AIFF, and Apple Lossless audio files to .CAF using iTunes.

Converting to .CAF File

1. Set your Import Settings in iTunes to Import Using: AIFF Encoder

(Open iTunes Preferences, Under General Settings “When you insert a CD:” Click the Import Settings button)

2. Convert the audio file you want to .AIFF

(Select Song in iTunes, Go to Advanced, Create AIFF Version)

3. Drag the Newly Created Song to your Desktop and Rename the .AIFF extension to .CAF

Disable iPhone Auto-Correction in 3 Easy Steps

Posted in Apps, How-To by meebz. Published January 5th, 2009

Lose the Faulty iPhone Spell Check

Sick of typing a word and having the less-than-brilliant iPhone auto-correction feature butcher it?

Well iClarified has created a solution in Cydia that nullifies the spell check feature.

The only setback, though, is that the double spacebar = a period function is also disabled.

3 Steps to a More Functional iPhone Typing

1. In Cydia (Go to Sections Tab –> Repositories Folder)

2. Install iClarified (You Can Also Manually Add It*)

3. Install Disable Auto-Correction (Should Now Appear in Changes Tab)
